Description
The RP-4000 MK2 is a robust DJ turntable designed for advanced users, featuring a range of enhancements in its latest version. The MK2 introduces a newly developed deep black metallic top panel and reworked metallic buttons that deliver a satisfying tactile response and intuitive control over a wide variety of functions. DJs benefit from features like reverse play and pitch reset, granting direct and flexible manipulation of their music. An extendable aluminum target light, activated with a single button, ensures clear visibility of the needle position even in low-light environments. The precision-engineered die-cast platter is driven by a powerful, high-torque direct drive motor (over 1.8 kg/cm), providing fast acceleration and stability. With precise motor control supporting three speeds (33 1/3, 45, and 78 rpm), the RP-4000 MK2 accommodates any record type. Its pitch section offers selectable ranges of +/-8% and +/-16%, allowing for detailed pitch adjustments. The turntable is equipped with a statically balanced s-shaped tone arm, hydraulic lift, and anti-skating mechanism for optimal tracking. Thanks to the universal SME connection, a wide variety of pick-up systems can be used. For immediate playback, the RP-4000 MK2 comes pre-fitted with the high-quality OM Black pick-up, handmade by Ortofon in Denmark, mounted on a headshell. All essential controls—including start/stop, platter speed, pitch control, reverse function, and tempo reset—are conveniently located on the redesigned metallic top panel. Enhanced haptic feedback ensures confident operation. The sturdy construction, along with optimized damping and shock-absorbing feet, minimizes unwanted vibrations for improved isolation. A dust cover is available as an optional accessory.
