Now in its seventh generation, the SL-1200MK7 features major enhancements in both analog and digital technology, including a coreless direct-drive motor and precision digital motor control, effectively eliminating rotation irregularities. Advanced microcomputer technology ensures superior motor control, delivering reliable performance during regular playback and highly responsive operation for a variety of DJ techniques, such as scratching. Users can individually adjust the starting torque and brake speed to match their personal preferences. For even greater creative flexibility, the platter can be set to reverse direction by pressing the Speed Selector and Start/Stop buttons simultaneously. The aluminum die-cast platter boasts a two-layer construction with deadening rubber covering the entire underside, minimizing unwanted resonance and providing excellent vibration damping to prevent any interference with the record. The aluminum die-cast chassis is fused with a special ABS and glass fiber blend, resulting in a sturdy two-layer design. This combination enhances both rigidity and vibration damping, delivering a robust cabinet that ensures remarkable sound reproduction.
