Behringer B112MP3 Eurolive Active PA Speaker Review
The Behringer B112MP3 is a compact and versatile active PA speaker designed for musicians and DJs seeking a reliable sound solution. With a power output of 1000 watts and a 12-inch speaker, it promises robust audio performance suitable for various venues.
Build & Design
The B112MP3 features a durable plastic housing, which is lightweight yet sturdy, making it easy to transport. The speaker's design includes a built-in handle for straightforward carrying. The grille is made of metal, offering good protection for the speaker driver. However, while the build quality is generally solid, some users may find the plastic casing less premium compared to other models in the market.
Features & Workflow
This active speaker comes equipped with an integrated MP3 player, allowing for playback directly from a USB stick or SD card, which can be incredibly convenient for solo performers. It includes a built-in mixer with two channels, each featuring individual volume controls and XLR/TRS inputs. The speaker also offers EQ controls, enabling users to tailor the sound to their environment. Additionally, the speaker has a pole mount socket, making it easy to elevate it during performances.
Sound/Performance
Audio performance is a standout feature of the B112MP3, delivering clear highs and a decent bass response for its size. While it excels in smaller venues and events, it may struggle to fill larger spaces without distortion at higher volumes. The overall sound quality is impressive for the price, making it suitable for both speech and music applications. However, audiophiles may notice some limitations in the low-end response compared to higher-end models.
Pros & Cons
- Pro: Lightweight and portable design with built-in handles.

Who Is It For?
The Behringer B112MP3 is ideal for mobile DJs, solo performers, and small event organisers who require a portable, easy-to-use sound solution. Its versatility makes it suitable for parties, public speaking events, and small live music venues, particularly where budget constraints are a consideration.
Verdict
Overall, the Behringer B112MP3 Eurolive Active PA Speaker is a reliable option for those seeking a balance of performance and portability. While it may not be the best choice for larger venues or discerning audiophiles, it offers excellent value for its price, making it a solid investment for entry-level sound reinforcement.
