Behringer EP4000 Power Amplifier

"This is a Behringer?...No Way!!!"

Feature:
I'll reiterate one thing the previous reviewer said...This thing is HEAVY..IT will take 2 people to carry this thing especially in a rack unless your rack is on wheels. I'm a decently strong guy and I was surprised how heavy this thing is...It is built like a Tank though so it will be durable..

Quality:
Much more durable than Crown and QSC IMO. And I have used or owned both...On the other hand I think Behringer likes to fudge a little on ratings and sometimes what they say the ratings for on their products are slightly lower.

Value:
C'mon for the money you will be amazed at the quality and performance of this amp. I know most people snub Behringer products and in most cases rightfully so but they are moving in the right direction and you can't go wrong with this or any of their power amps.

Desirability:
this thing is HEAVY.....not sexy at all....But the power is beyond Sexy...

Sound:
The sound of this amp is incredible. Now that Behringer is using Toshiba parts I'll bet this will stand the test of time. The manual and the amp itself is self explanatory. IF you don't carry around your manual the back of the amp tells you all the settings.

Ease of Use:
Manual and the back of the amp are very explanatory. All the settings are shown on the back of the amp for reference.

Support:
I don't know about the support I haven't had to use it.

Overall:
This is my only power amp now so I shouldn't have to buy another power unless this one dies. IT has more than enough power to need another amp.

Crown XLS1000 Power Amplifier (1000 Watts)

"To be or not to Be. "

Feature:
Nice Led lighting. It has a clip indicator. My peavey amp did not have that feature.

Quality:
Though it is a class D(lightweight product) it feels like it is built to last. I believe it will stand the test of times. I have heard great things about crown durability. They also come with a three year replacement waranty.

Value:
Great price. There are other amps out there that put out more power for less the cost, but quality may be an issue such as behringer. You do get what you pay for. Though other amps put out more power at less the cost, you wont get the crystal clear sound that this crown amp produce. Buy it.

Desirability:
This product sure does look better than my 1990 peavey cs 800. This thing is fine. Especially the blue lighting.

Sound:
This is a wonderful product. I have never owned a crown amp. I am in awe so to speak. I was using a peavey cs800 which was an early 1990 model. By plugging this amp in, I feel like I just upgraded by whole system. This is a powerful little amp. Crystal clear sound. You want be disappointed. Just buy it. 215 ohms per channel. Enough to power most speakers.

Ease of Use:
Just plug and play

Support:
Have not had to call crown yet, but the zzounds team is the best. Most calls are awnsered immediatley. They are able to awnser every question that I have.

Overall:
Overall, you cant beat this crown amp. So don't think about it, just buy it. You wont be sorry. Excellent sound. Lighter than most amps. Its a beauty. Great crystal clear sound. Easy set up. Great quality that is built to last.

Crown XLS1500 Power Amplifier (1500 Watts)

"Crisp, Clean, & Pristine Power Reinforcement. "

Feature:
Built in easy to use DSP (which I love). Adjustable active crossover, limiters, & power conditioner all built in a 2U unit saving rack space, extra wiring, complications, and headaches. Also, this unit comes with about every input/output option you could need so it can easily integrate in just about any sound system. I was going to rate this a solid 9 but after writing out all these features… at this price point… I am upping it to 10!

Quality:
Very well made and looks great!

Value:
For the money you get a Crown solid performer with some DSP features, built in crossover, limiters, and power conditioning all in one sleek 2U rack space. Value; rack space real estate is a valuable commodity and this unit can save you 3 additional spaces as well as the cost of wiring all those units together.

Desirability:
She is a sexy amp!

Ease of Use:
Plug & Play DSP is the way to go my friends and I’ll never own another amp without it.

Support:
I called Crown before buying the amp to assure I was buying the correct model for my setup and had a real life (English Speaking) tech on the line within 5 mins.

Overall:
I plan to have this unit a very long time and will probably add the XLS 2500 to my next system upgrade.

Behringer EP2000 Power Amplifier

"Great value, quality sound and reliable!"

Feature:
Not many features for this unit, it's simply plug and play with twin output controls.

Quality:
I've had this unit for two years now with no issues. Unit appears to be well made, heavy and sturdy.

Value:
Great value! No other manufacture comes close to producing such a high powered unit at such a low price.

Desirability:
Very sturdy unit, black in color and rack mountable.....as a DJ I can honestly say that when first installed and fired up it was a real turn on!

Sound:
Excellent sound quality and produces great bass reflex. I use this for DJ and KJ purposes and it pushes quality sound to my two Peavey DJS4 speakers.

Ease of Use:
Extremely easy to use, simply plug and play.

Support:
Haven't had to deal with the company on this product.

Overall:
I expect to keep this product as long as possible - if it fails, I'll replace it with the exact same model!

QSC GX5 Power Amplifier (500 Watts)

QSC GX5 Power Amp

Feature:
The built in crossover is nice feature, but it cannot be bridged which can be a drawback for some applicaitons.

Quality:
The connectors in back feel great when connecting various cable types. the front knobs and casing feel a little cheap & pasticy

Value:
You get so much power & QSC reliability for a very good price. You can also get a 6 year warranty if you register the amp online.

Desirability:
n/a, its an amp

Sound:
The sound is very high quality and very musical.

Ease of Use:
Turn it on and go!

Support:
n/a

Overall:
I expect to be performing with this amp in my PA for many years to come.
