    Mis-leading Spec’s, good quality, November 15, 2010

Up Front: This amplifier will only give 2000 Watts Peak in mono bridged mode. The other advertized spec’s are wrong as the documentation that came with it indicates only 70w @ 8 Ohm speakers. Not the 200w advertized.

That being said, the sound quality at 75% volume was outstanding with excellent channel separation and crisp, clean signal. At 100% there was a hint of distortion, but nothing most people would notice. I ran this full out for 4 hours and the unit was barely warm. The actual perceived sound output is loud enough for most small/medium sized venue’s, at least for me. Not as much ‘extra’ headroom as I would have liked however.

In final, it’s a keeper for me now I have it, but I’ll think long before buying another Pyle product with the mis-leading specifications. I would have gone with a larger unit to better suit my needs.

Customer Video Review Length:: 1:08 Mins

I have this paired up to a pair of Vocopro SV-600’s for a home stereo/karaoke/party machine. I wanted louder sound for the parties and since my friends are all in bands. My old Denon AVR-1507 receiver I was playing with before this came has better sound output until you push this to 75% or above. The fan is so loud that I had to buy a cabinet to put it in. You can hear the fan OVER the music at up to 60%.

Small note, the right dial was missing the insert so, in the words of Gizmo “Bright Light! Bright Light!” was also missing the lines on both dials*, had to paint on myself. You get what you pay for. My 1st dedicated amp, lesson learned.

*In the video it looks like there is lines for the dials, but that is actually light reflecting in the gap where the paint should have been.

I added a short (1 minute) video of the noise level from 2-4 ft away at 50% volume

Little fidelity on the volume control, the first half of the range does nothing and the rest is crammed into the remainder. Maximum power it delivered was only ~175W at 8 Ohm in bridged mode. Peak power listed is useless as the protection kicks in well below that for even the tiniest of excursions. It finally fried after only several uses. I did a tear down and was met with many cold solder joints and overall very poor construction.
