* Plug your player into the computer. Make sure the top switch is in the ON position. (That means – if you're looking at the screen, the switch is pushed to the left).
* Once the screen shows the ZZZZZs, press the M button. Now you should see the main menu on the player.
* Press the forward arrow button until you see the SETUP screen.
* Press M.
* Press the forward button until you see ONLINE DEVICE.
* Press M.
* Press the forward button once so that USB DISK is highlighted.
* Press M.
* Press and hold M to return to the main screen.
* Press and hold the center PLAY button to turn the player off.
* Unplug the player from the cable. Wait a couple seconds.
* Plug the player back into the cable.
* Now the ZZZZZ screen should show a battery icon at the top right corner of the screen. Now it's charging!
